2014 Scholarship Winners

The NC Triad Chapter of the Virginia Tech Alumni Association is pleased to announce the winners of our 2014 scholarship award.  Each year, graduating seniors from the Triad who have applied and been accepted to Virginia Tech compete for the opportunity to earn this scholarship.  The students must exemplify a commitment to academic excellence as well as involvement in the local community.  In addition to the application requirements, the finalists are then interviewed by a panel of local alumni to determine the winner.  The students  receive a one-time, $2,000 scholarship for the upcoming 2014-2015 school year.

We are proud to award this year’s scholarships to Leah Renee Frost, daughter of James and Sandra Frost of Northern Guilford High School, and Jay Kirby, son of Jeff and Patricia Kirby of Bishop McGuinness High School.
