  • We have some news in the works for our local website as well as a new website for the Hokie Nation. We are in the process of changing www.nctriadhokies.com to create a more dynamic website that is more interactive for all of our members. Ironically the Virginia Tech Alumni Association is in the process of creating an exclusive online social networking community for all VT Alumni. This will enable you to connect with friends,, check on chapter events, create your own groups, etc. This will be called the Hokie Nation Network and is set to go live in just a few weeks.  More details later on that.

  • See the flyer for the Chow for Yow Event.  Click here for event details.

  • We will be setting up a committee soon to review applications and interview students to award our scholarships for the coming year. If you are interested in spending a few very worthwhile hours assisting in this process, please email me. You will find this to be a very rewarding experience.

  • We are announcing a new fundraiser for our scholarships for freshmen students who will be attending Virginia Tech. This will be called the Scholar Dollar Club. For a $ 25 contribution, your name will be placed on our website as a Scholar Dollar member. In order to claim tax benefit as a donation, your check should be made out to the VT Foundation and designate the NC Triad Scholarship Fund on the check. You may also make the check out to the VTAA-NC Triad Chapter if you are not concerned about the deductible aspect of your contribution. Checks may all be sent to Linda Allen, 6 Kempton Drive, Greensboro, NC 27406. You will also receive a VT lapel pin to display at local functions as a "Scholar Dollar" Member
