Hello Hokies!
Balls of Fun...
Please plan to join us as we try something new this year. We are joining the Piedmont Triad Sports Club for our annual Holiday Social.
Thursday Dec 9th at Emerald Event Center, 2000 East Wendover, Corner of Wendover & Warehouse, about 2 blocks east of Hwy 29.
Doors will open at 5:30 w/ buffet “tailgate food dinner” being served 6-8:30. We will serve lots of tailgate goodies including many desserts & beverages, tea & lemonade and a cash bar.
While it is our holiday party we encourage all to wear their school colors as many schools will be represented, we need to have a great Hokie turnout.
This year, continuing our theme of supporting those less fortunate, we are partnering w/ the Boys & Girls clubs. They have needs for all sorts of equipment, but we are going to focus on BALLS (thus balls of fun).
They need baseballs, softballs, volleyballs (indoor & out), footballs & basketballs (youth & regulation size), kickballs. If you feel more generous we can expand into bats & gloves or even ping pong paddles & balls.
Please bring unwrapped gifts to be placed under the Christmas tree. Sorry to say they vetoed my orange tree so we will just have to overwhelm them w/ lots of Orange & Maroon spirit.
Families are welcome & there is rumor that a special visitor from up north may be there. Cost to attend is $15. Children ages 6-12 are $7.50, kids 5 and under are free.
We do need to give a head count so please rsvp to Mark Whitehouse below, advance payment should be made to “VTAA NC Triad”.
