Hello Hokies!
- Our next alumni meeting is scheduled for Monday April 12th at the Embassy Suites at the airport exit at I-40. The social half hour will begin at 6:00 and the meeting will begin at 6:30. There is no cost to attend and no cost to be a member of the VT Alumni Association.
- The NC Triad Chapter of the Alumni Association is co-sponsoring an event to honor and commemorate those who lost their lives in the April 16th tragedy. This includes donating food to three different food banks-Greensboro, Martinsville and Stuart,VA. We are inviting our alumni to visit the Homestead in Critz, VA on April 10 for a family picnic from 11:00-2:00 and to bring canned food to donate to the food banks at the event. We also need a few volunteers to help with the picnic. If you are interested, please let me know. Tom Hughes at 722-4447 ext 177 Other activities on April 10 will include an outdoor play for the children (Rip Van Winkle), silent auction with bids for an autographed football and a Hokie oil painting, door prizes, photos with the Hokie Bird, and of course hot dogs, hamburgers, and drinks.
