Football is almost here! See ticket postings below.

The annual alumni picnic was held last week at Triad park and everyone who attended appeared to have a great time. Thanks to Linda Allen for her great work in buying and preparing the food. Thanks also to Bob and Jeff Allen who cooked over the hot coals. I have received a number of emails from some of the freshmen parents thanking us for our hospitality.

For the Wine trail this Saturday we only have about 6 seats left, so let me know immediately if your are interested in joining us for that. Should be a fun time!

Click Here for information about the ECU Football Game Bus Trip. Hurry because it is filling up quickly! There were about 10 seats left as of last week. The plan is for folks to bring a covered dish on the bus and an informal tailgate will be set up in the parking lot that everyone can share in. It is not mandatory that you bring food, but only if you wish to participate in the tailgate.
Additionally, the Charlotte Chapter is hosting a separate tailgate for the ECU game. Go to www.charlottehokies.org for more information.

Our next Alumni meeting will be on September 8 at 6:30PM at the Airport Marriott. The social half hour starts at 6:00

*Note* The 2007-2008 seasons will bring new challenges for Hokie alumni looking for tickets. Every game is sold out and the renewed desire for alumni to connect with the campus will make it more difficult than ever to find extra tickets, which are in high demand. Please consider this fact if you have extra tickets. Consider helping out another local Triad Hokie before posting your tickets on e-bay or other ticket exchanging sites.
